Christmas in the Mission!

It was definitely a blessing to get to talk to you guys! And it'll happen here in a few more months! Which might now seem like a short time to you, but 5 months to us is nothing! We've started teaching this girl named Ashley recently and she has a baptismal date of the 9th! She's super anxious to be baptized and felt so comfortable and like she fit in at church yesterday. She's super amazing. We've definitely had to teach her by the Spirit, but we've been blessed. Love you so much and have a great week!

Baptism!

Hendrik got baptized! It was a miracle for sure! He's so awesome too. I'll send a picture. The baptism it self was interesting cause he can't use his legs, or his fingers and doesnt have much stability in his core. So it was interesting, but it worked

A Quiet Week!

It's definitely been a blessing teaching in Portuguese. Henrik is a super cool guy! He has a scheduled baptismal date for this Saturday! Hello to the YSA branch! Miss those guys. And President Robinson is so awesome! So, this week, I have nothing. Elder Pineda had a doctors appointment and had to get like 5 warts burned off his foot. So he can't walk. We've been in the house all week. It's exhausting doing nothing. But it's been a good week of reading the scriptures and napping. So, this week. I did laundry too. Turns out ALL of my pants are disgusting. So, just letting you know I'll be buying some new pants today. I also may or may not have broken a window.....so I'll be paying for that too. Ummm....OH! If you could send me an ankle brace for my right ankle, that'd be nice. Every time I play sports I seem to tweak it somehow. It's no rush though. Whenever you get a chance. That's about it for the week! Thank you so much for the 12 Days of Christmas! The little child in me is wanting to open them all right now! But I'm not. And my companion says thank you too! Love you so much! Thank you!

12 Days of Christmas

Using the characters in a traditional nativity, each was given a date with a scripture. On each given day, after reading the scripture and using it as a clue to guess the corresponding gift, they can each then open their gift. How many can you guess? (answers to follow later)

Matthew 7:24-25
Proverbs 25;25
Moses 1:33
Mosiah 14:5
Psalms 78:24
2 Samuel 6:5
Mormon 9:24
D&C 103:9
Matthew 7:10
1 Corinthians 13:11
Mark 9:24
????   (I forgot to write this one down.
I'll have to ask what it was)

YSA rocks!

This week was awesome. It literally did not stop raining until yesterday morning. Which turned out to be a miracle! Cause we had one investigator at sacrament that wouldn't have been able to come if it rained. Anyways, you'll hear in the recordings this week that not much happens in YSA until we find people to teach. This week we (or should I say I) were able to teach Amanda! She's a Brazilian! She plays softball (Brazilians play softball???) for the local college here on scholarship! The Killian sisters found her and we (I) got to teach her in Portuguese! It was super cool. She was super super excited to come to church and read the Book of Mormon but couldn't come to church because she got really sick. Hopefully it's not just an excuse. The other cool miracle we had was Henrik! He's our homey who came to church! So the Killian sisters found him too! He was super busy this week so we couldn't teach him but he came to church! And guess what? HE'S BRAZILIAN TOO! So I got to teach him before church and he stayed at the church the whole day with us! We got to church at 12 because he got there early and we have meetings too. So we were there from 12 til 9 yesterday. Talk about a long day. Our church starts at 3, so it's literally an all day event. He's super cool and actually is limited to a wheel-chair and doesn't have use of his fingers or legs. He fell in a pool a couple years back. So this is super cool for him. I was also super surprised at how well the branch fellow shipped him! It was awesome! Not much happened though. Love you all!
