Wierd Week!

This week was weird. Not much happened work wise. We felt we worked hard cause our bodies always wanted to quit, but when we looked back at the end of the week we realized not much got done. Kind of sad. But we are gonna make sure this week that we work super hard. Sadly not too much to report on or anything. But I love ya all! I took some pictures this week. So, hopefully that counts for something!

The Caloosahatchee River splits our area in two. We are always have to bike up and over bridges.

The healthiest thing I have ever eaten in my life.
Spinach, salmon, grapes, blueberries, goat cheese, pecans, flaxseed, strawberry balsamic vinaigrette dressing

This is often what we have to teach in.

Awesome!

Fort Myers is awesome. Super ghetto. But I'm loving it. The portuguese will come back for sure. I've been begging President Richardson to put me with a Brazilian again so I can speak Portuguese more often. We'll see what happens. As for now I'm very happy. Elder Briggs is a farm boy. And it's the best. He's teaching me how to rope cows. And I'm not too shabby. Well, at least at roping people. The doctor I saw told me my shoes are messing with my toes which are in turn affecting my feet. He said the ones I have are too narrow. I had purchased some orthotics, but those won't fix the problem. So I'm going to go to the mall and find some wider better fitted shoes today and return the orthotics. Just so you know. This week was great though! We've been working hard with some of the old investigators that Elder Briggs and Nebeker had, but have ended up dropping a lot of them because they aren't willing to come to church. So we're starting from ground zero! It's gonna be great. The work is going well and if we see miracles we should have a family of 3 lined up for baptism on the 30th! But we will see what happens. The dad has been in the hospital. Love you all!

Ft Myers!

This area is SO different. I've kind of described it as being taken out of Latin America and being thrown into the deep south with palm trees. It's fantastic. It reminds me of Tupelo a lot. But more over by Milam and Carver schools. But I love it. The ward is crazy. And I love it too. AND THERE'S BRAZILIANS! Finally I get to talk to people again. It's been like 4 months since I've been able to talk to someone in Portuguese. There are lots of members in our ward and in the Spanish ward who are members. So that's such a blessing. We found out one of the Brazilian members husbands is not a member, so I'll be working with him if he's willing to listen. The weather here is great too. Sunny but not blistering and sweltering yet. I'm still in a car share area so I'll be biking again til the middle of May at the least. Elder Murat and Helas are my zone leaders here and my district is awesome! Maybe you remember Sister Peel from the Brazilian branch, but she's in my district! She said it's super weird having me be her district leader, but it is what it is. We come home so whooped from all the biking! The area is even bigger than my last! Love y'all tons!

Me and Elder Briggs. He's from Rigby Idaho. So we get to talk about cows and potatoes a lot.

Bonus from the week!

These were sent home by members in the ward where Lars was serving. What a treat to see his smiling face!

Transfered to Ft Myers!

This week was pretty weird. It went by quickly yet seemed to take forever. It was a good week. I wish it would've have been a little more productive on my part, but it was difficult with conference and transfers coming up. Sadly our baptism didn't happen this week. She and her aunt are still searching for their answers. I'm more than ok with delaying someone's baptism if that means that they will have a more solid conversion. The mission a few years ago had a problem with baptizing people before they were ready, but now there's a focus on true conversion. I've told myself I'll do the best I can to help those people I teach have a true conversion. Of course to a point there's only so much I can do. Whether they choose to stay active or not is up to them!

We did receive transfer calls last night though! I'm getting transferred! To Fort Myers. President Richardson says there are a lot of Brazilians there, so that's why I'm being sent. It'll be a blast. I'll be with Elder Briggs. Don't know him yet, but I'm sure he'll be great. He's only been out 2 transfers, so president says he'll need a good "greenie" breaking. I'm sad to be leaving the investigators behind, but I've always liked change. So that's a blessing.

I'll be sending some boxes home with comic books in them. One of the members down in Miami gave them too me and I don't want to tote them around, so I'm sending them home. Idk what I'll do with them, but I just don't want to have to lug them around. Anyways, love ya! Glad you're doing good! I loved conference too! They really threw down as us missionaries say. I loved it though. Probably one of the better conferences for me. Maybe it's a different atmosphere because of the missionary calling, but I like it. Have a good week!
